The Phoenix-Mesa Gateway Airport goes all out to make the class day informative and enjoyable.  They provided a delicious breakfast and lunch plus ample snacks. 

Throughout the day, interesting speakers shared their knowledge about the exciting current growth and the future expansion plans foreseen for the airport and East Mesa.  Speakers included:  

• Brian Sexton/Patrick Oakley – “Gateway Airport Overview”

• Wayne Balmer – Town of Queen Creek Planning Manager

• Scott Somers, City of Mesa Councilman – “Economic Development Issues”

• Roc Arnett, President of the East Valley Partnership – “Economic Sustainability”

• John Barry, Phoenix Mesa Gateway Business Development Manager

A tour bus was made available in the afternoon to transport the class attendees to the many interesting sights to see and explore at the airport.  Anna Wales was the guide for the ASU Polytechnic tour and Brian Sexton narrated the airport tour.

Mesa East Valley has a real economic gem in the Phoenix-Mesa Gateway Airport and its anticipated growth will certainly sustain the development of its surrounding areas.
