Mesa City Government Day

The class day took place in the Mesa City Council Chambers and attendees learned about the current city vision and issues. Additionally, interesting talks were given on the different city departments and how they work. Distinguished City of Mesa presenters included:

• City Manager Chris Brady

• Economic Development Department Director Bill Jabjiniak

• District 1 City Councilmember Dave Richins

• Budget Director Chuck Odom

• Water Resources Department Director Kathryn Sorensen

• Planning Director John Wesley

During the day, the class as a group identified three potential class projects to research and report on at the October meeting.

After lunch, thanks to Shea Joachim (Economic Development Specialist), everyone enjoyed a bus tour of the various City of Mesa facilities and Town Center Development projects.
